The archive also contains an extensive collection of current and historic oblique aerial photographs of San Francisco, including bridges, commercial real estate, environmental subjects, wetlands, salt ponds, geographic features, airports, ports, harbors and marinas, industrial plants including each of the major refineries, manufacturing plants and fabrication facilities, and the skylines of each of the major urban centers in the San Francisco Bay Area and numerous additional categories.

Included in the archive is comprehensive vertical aerial photography and extensive oblique aerial photography of San Francisco beginning at the turn of the century, with additional aerial coverage increasing as the decades pass.

The aerial photography archive also contains aerial photographs of the San Francisco international airport, Alamo square, Alcatraz island, Angel island, Aquatic Park, the Bay Bridge with the San Francisco skyline, the Caltrans railroad station, Candlestick monster park, the Civic Center and construction in San Francisco.

It also includes Crissy Field, the San Francisco drydock, the financial district, Fishermans wharf, fog, Gas House Cove, Geary street, the Golden Gate bridge and Golden Gate park.

Among the other subjects covered by the oblique aerial photography collection are Hayes valley, Hunter's point, Islais creek, the Marina Green, Market street, the Marriott hotel, Mission bay, the Mission district, the Moscone center, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Nob hill, north beach, Pier 39, pier 70, the Port of San Francisco, the presidio, Rincon hill, Russian hill, SBC park, the Sony metreon, the south of market SOMA district, Telegraph hill, the Transamerica building, the Transbay terminal, Union square, San Francisco at night, Van Ness avenue, the waterfront and vessels navigating along the San Francisco waterfront. The archive also includes a limited number of ground photographs, including photographs of the Loma Prieta earthquake, and photographs from various perspectives on San Francisco bay.
