The current Airport Muse Gallery exhibition is a group show that features leading northern California figure artists with a special portion of the show devoted to emerging artists and promising art students.

The exhibit takes place at the Airport Muse Gallery at the Petaluma Municipal Airport. Additional information is available from the Airport Muse Gallery Media Release.

A bottle of the Lady of the Lake Sparkling Pear Wine which will be served at the event is shown below. You might also like to know that this Friday, December 17 from 4-8pm MKG Winery will be doing a tasting at their winery of the Lady of the Lake Sparkling Pear Wine as well as two newly bottled vintages of Cabernet Sauvignon as well as a 2009 Rose and a 2009 Sauvignon Blanc. The tasting will take place in room 4 at the winery's offices, 2550 Big Valley Rd in Kelseyville, CA.

Raffle Prizes

We also have an exciting raffle with some great prizes that will take place around 7pm (you don't have to be present to win). Among the prizes are:

a VIP tour of the Lagunitas Brewing Company for the winner of this prize, plus 9 friends--which includes 2 hours of sampling Lagunitas beers

a VIP tour and tasting of the wines of the exceptional Carneros district winery, Artesa

a $20 gift certificate at the Two Niner Diner at the Petaluma Airport

a bottle of the Lady of the Lake Sparkling Pear wine (we will be pouring Lady of the Lake sparkling pear wine at the event that starts at 3pm until it runs out)

a print by female figure photographer, Herb Lingl

a case of Lagunitas India Pale Ale

a membership in the Petaluma Arts Center for one individual and perhaps even more prizes.

Proceeds from the raffle benefit the Petaluma Arts Council and the Western Horizon Flying Museum.

Celebrating the Female Form is a series of workshops, seminars and art exhibitions that explores, in depth, artistic treatments of the female figure. Exhibitions open with a reception that features an emerging musician and often some aviation related presentation. All receptions are sponsored by related arts organizations and businesses.

The Celebrating the Female Form series of workshops and exhibitions takes a broad, inclusive approach to art that contributes to the objective of celebrating the female figure.

In addition to painters, sculptors and photographers many other artists are invited to participate including hair and make up artists, body painters, lighting artists, mixed media artists and musicians, and we are always open to new ideas.
