Outdoor Figure Photography Workshop

This workshop covers techniques for photographing the unclothed female figure outdoors including posing, composition and outdoor lighting. The workshop taught by photographer Herb Lingl features Zoe West, a talented figure model with extensive modeling credits. The workshop fee is $95 which admission to the workshop, a dinner after the workshop and access to the sauna which will be fired up at the conclusion of the workshop. The workshop also includes a limited model release signed by Zoe to use photography created at the workshop for portfolio and self promotion purposes. Broader model releases and one on one photography sessions with Zoe are also available. Experienced artists' model Elisa will be holding poses long enough for artists to create detailed paintings, drawings or sculpture. The fee to participate is $50. This fee includes lunch and the opportunity to enjoy the sauna after the modeling session.

This group show featured leading northern California figure artists with a special portion of the show devoted to emerging artists and promising art students. The exhibit took place at the Airport Muse Gallery at the Petaluma Municipal Airport. Additional information is available from the Airport Muse Gallery Media Release.

The artists exhibiting work at this show were Jonqui Albin, Barry Baldwin, Diana Belenky, Terry Brown, Alicia Lee Farnsworth, Susan Gefvert, Ytaelena Lopez and Ruby Newman.

The event was sponsored in part by MKG Winery whose Lady of the Lake Sparkling Pear Wine was served to guests at the closing event. Celebrating the Female Form: About The Series
Celebrating the Female Form is a series of workshops, seminars and art exhibitions that explores, in depth, artistic treatments of the female figure. Exhibitions open with a reception that features an emerging musician and often some aviation related presentation. All receptions are sponsored by related arts organizations and businesses. Celebrating the Female Form: Art Forms
The Celebrating the Female Form series of workshops and exhibitions takes a broad, inclusive approach to art that contributes to the objective of celebrating the female figure. In addition to painters, sculptors and photographers many other artists are invited to participate including hair and make up artists, body painters, lighting artists, mixed media artists and musicians, and we are always open to new ideas.
