Aerial Archives photojournalist Herb Lingl, is a San Francisco based aviation and aerial photographer, aerial film maker, and commercial pilot, travels extensively, creating aerial photography and aerial video and film and writing.

His editorial projects include:

Text and photography for a feature about the restoration of the California Salt ponds published in a photo and text essay about the San Francisco Bay salt ponds in California Wild, a publication of the California Academy of Science;

Photography for numerous media publications including Bay Nature, California Agriculture, In Flight USA, the International Herald Tribune, the Los Angeles Times, and the Wall Street Journal.

Books of aerial photography with Robert Cameron about Mexico City entitled Above Mexico City and La Ciudad de Mexico desde Arriba. Aerial video coverage of San Francisco bay and numerous other locations around the world.
