Aerial Archives photojournalist Herb Lingl, a San Francisco based aviation and aerial photographer, aerial film maker, commercial pilot and writer, will be covered the Air Show China, 2006, the 6th Annual China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition, including still photography, aerial photography and high definition video, for leading magazines and television companies.

The 2006 Zhuhai Air Show was held fromOctober 31 through November 5, 2006 in Guangzhou province. The 6th Annual China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition will highlight the market prospects and cooperative opportunities in China for helicopters, business aircraft, regional aircraft, aviation infrastructure construction, aviation safety and space exploration. Symposia are scheduled before the opening of the trade show to discuss the Chinese government's plans for the development of China's aerospace and air transport industries and a forum on the emerging helicopter industry.

Air Show China 2006 featured an extensive list of participants exhibitors including the leading Chinese and international aviation companies. Among the Chinese firms and institutions which will be exhibiting are: the Beijing Wisewell Avionics Technology Co., Ltd , the Chengdu Aircraft Industrial (Group) Co.Ltd., the China Helicopter Research and Development Institute, the Chinese Aeronautical Radio Electronics Research Institute, Hangtian Tsinghua Satellite Technology Ltd., Harbin Aviation Industry Group Corp., Harbin Embraer Aircraft Industry Co., Ltd., the Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing Factory, the Shenyang Aircraft Corporation, the Shijiazhuang Aircraft Industry Co., Ltd, Xian Aircraft Industry (Group) Company Ltd.

Other exhibitors include the Antonov Aeronautical Scientific/Technical Complex, Boeing, Bombardier Aerospace, Cirrus Design Corporation, Embraer, Evergreen International Aviation, Gulfstream, Marconi Selenia Communications, Rockwell Collins, Rolls-Royce, Stork Aerospace, Sukhoi Aviation Holding Company, United Technologies Corp. and Zlin Aircraft.

Over 600 exhibitors from more than 30 countries attended; the flying scheduled for the show included aerobatic flights by both the Chinese and Russian Air Forces.

Herb Lingl has been covering Chinese aviation since 2002 when he photographed and wrote the text for an article about a joint venture between the Schweizer Corporation, United Technologies and Shanghai Little Eagle during the HAI exibition in Orlando, Florida, which was published in In Flight magazine.
